I bought a 1996 F-350 with a 7.3 and E4OD transmission. Great truck, it does have a few issues.
While using the cruise control if I turn on the right turn signal, the cruise control shuts off. I have been looking for a wire diagram for this truck, but cant find one. Can anyone help me with some advise of what I should be looking for in the column or any where else to solve this issue?
Also, I have noticed the emergency flasher **** does not activate the flashers.
Thanks for any help,
Ken
Have you been swapping in any LED lighting? That can mess things up. I have also had faulty rear bulbs cause cruise control problems. The cruise control monitors the brake light circuit and shuts off if it gets a signal from them. The turn lights and the brake lights are the same circuit, same bulbs in the rear.
Thank you Dave,
No I have the original bulbs, that I know of. I will look and see what the previous owner has done. But from what I have had to fix, basic stuff, no nothing was changed.
Thanks again,
Ken
