This is the plug on my 77 F100. It's a female plug. The male end in this pic I cut out of another truck so I could have a cleaner look when I added DRLs to that truck. That plug gets power as soon as the key hits "on" and gives power during cranking.
Here's a couple pics of when I was adding a Holley Sniper to my hot mess of a 78 Bronco. That plug I previously pictured on my F100 was being tapped into for the electric choke on the edelbrock carb that was on my Bronco when I bought it.
You can see the electric choke wire on the left side of the pic, it's touching the wire loom.
I cut off the connector for the electric choke and crimped that wire to my Sniper's wire (green wire to pink wire). You can see the green wire run up to the plug that's near the firewall that I pictured on my F100. It comes off the larger bundle of wires that goes along the length of the firewall.
