If Bob has a set, perhaps the brackets could be copied from his.
I've been waiting for John or Kevin, or someone, to say it would look like braces on buck teeth if it were on the front of a '54. (Another photoshop challenge for Bob)

Wayne! You made me LOL! Good thing I drink my coffee at a diner and not at home or I would have sprayed coffee on my monitor!
But a 54 only has 2 buckteeth while a 51-52 has three!
The 51-52 and the 54 grilles are the only ones with depth, they are not flat like the 53 and 55.... But I like them all.

I'm pretty sure my guard is complete with hardware. I'll have to did it out to see. The one on eBay isn't too badly priced. My guard is in pretty good shape but really needs some work to make it look show quality. I was quoted $500 to replate it.

I honestly think this guard looks best on the '48-50 trucks. The grills for the newer trucks are more ornate and the guard, IMO, blocks and takes away from the newer grills. The '48-50 grill bars are rather bland compared to the newer ones and the guard seems to go with them better.
As I typed, my grill guard isn't show quality, it has a few nicks and dings. I was thinking of maybe stripping it and painting it and using it on my panel
I agree the guard probably looks best on the 48-50's since it was designed for it. The cross bar goes well with the grille bars. Ford continued to offer it as an option through the parts department as long as they were still in stock.
Here you go John, ribbing or not. Us retirees have more time on our hands. I came back from the diner and took this picture. It is in the 1953 accessories brochure not the Dealer brochure.
If you want to see the light duty guard on a 56 maybe Bob can photo shop it.
The light duty grille guard is not listed as an accessory in the 1954, 55, or 1956 dealer brochures.

I think I threw up in my mouth a little when I looked at this pic!
