transmission or what?
Maybe someone out there can help. At around 80k/h (48m/h) my 92 explorer feels like it is being kicked from behind. It feels almost as if the car can't decide whether it should be in overdrive or third, and it will kick badly until you step hard on the gas to kick it into third. What is causing this too happen? Is my overdrive shot (the trans is only three years old with maybe 30,000 miles on it), or is there a problem with the performance of the engine? The fluid levels are fine, and there are no leaks, anyone know what could be causing this and what I should do?

Your rear end gears may be worn or you could have some play in the driveshaft (bad U joints). How many miles do you have on the (rest of the) truck?
My car has 305,000 on it and it does the same thing. Rear end is worn. I'll be driving it till it breaks.
