I think I have stictation, truck misses and is low on power on cold starts until the teuck warms up. My ficm volts never drop below 48. I am running rotella t6. I've been looking at rev x and arch oil 9100. Question is, how often do you need to use these products? Revx is $65 per 8 oz.. I couldn't afford to use it every oil change.
Does sound like a classic case of stiction. While I haven't use RevX I have used Archoil with some success. These additives are really just a bandaid. I had similar issues with my injectors and unfortunately the ultimate fix was a new ser of Ford Remans.
I used Archoil as a bandaid for maybe 4 oil changes until it would not help anymore. I identified the injector with IDS changed the injector, and it had been fine afterwards.
Post # 3. Ids...... That is the best way. If you have Forscan or Torque and one goes totally wonky you will get a contribution/balance code. But to diagnose a weak injector, it would be best to find someone with Ids.
I keep seeing the bandaid issue being thrown out there. How long does the "bandaid" last? Is it even worth it or is it better to just pony up and replace the injector?
