Good Morning Wyoming, Roy, Pat, Tyler, and anyone I missed.. Happy Saturday #3! I just can't believe some people.. there's six folks from our valley that despite the warnings about the coronavirus, went on their cruise anyway. Now, they are quarantined on the ship because someone has been found positive with the disease.

I'm amazed that people aren't taking this more seriously. We are traveling to Bethesda, MD at the end of April for a ceremony for our son. My wife scheduled flights and hotel. The next day, the school said they may cancel the ceremony. I had tried talking my wife into driving there (not fun, the driving part, not necessarily the talking to the wife part) and she said I was overreacting. Maybe I am, but some caution is good. Hopefully this will have burnt itself out in the next 45 days.

The university I work at has all staff (not faculty) that aren't student facing working from home this Friday as a test to see if the IT systems can handle it. This should be interesting.

Yeah, the media sure sensationalized it, same as everything bad that's happened since 1939 is all president Trumps fault... I don't know how serious it is either, but it doesn't hurt to use a bit of common sense. Good thing we have ordered our toilet paper automatically online for some time now.. LOL!

It's not like this is the Zombie Apocalypse or the Black Plague.

I'm just north of Longmont, it's not terrible here but still WAY too many people. With a little luck, i'll be high tailing it North in the morning,

Longmont seems nice. You have Hygiene (always a good thing these days) to the west, Mead (honey booze!) to the east and Gunbarrel (very non-PC) to the south. My wife thought the historic downtown area of Longmont looked nice. I wouldn't mind stopping at Left Hand Brewing or Oskar Blues Brewery.

There I was, sitting in my cubicle, minding my own business, producing data that was sure to save the world (slight exaggeration there), when I caught a whiff of something that didn't belong. Playing a role in that great Office Whack A Mole game I stuck my head up out of my cubicle to determine the smell. There I see one of the ladies from procurement walking around and spraying all the doorknobs with an industrial sized can of Lysol. I was tempted to ask if she had any extra TP stashed somewhere on campus, but she looked like she had plenty of practice spraying that can of Lysol exactly where she wanted it to go. I'm not sure how much good the Lysol is going to do. The gallon jug of hand sanitizer in the break room started the week with an inch left in the jug. It's down about 1/2". Most of that was used on my hands but some was used in an experiment to see how well it would catch fire (It does, it's cool, don't tell your kids or you won't have any hand sanitizer around the house).

I'm hoping that the guy that makes the men's restroom an unholy zone of toxic miasma gets the Wuhan Virus, but only in the hope that it changes something in his digestive tract in a positive way (it can't get any worse!).

Office Whack a Mole for those of you unfamiliar with the concept...

Well folks, I made it home from Colorado last night. I still think the best view of that state is from the rear view mirror
