We have so many owls here that we take our Shorky out on a leash in our fenced yard.

I go with them, I live in the country and we have Yotes, Fox, Owls and there are black bear and Mt lions around.

The Chi's won't go near the road and we have enough small fruit trees close to the house the makes it pretty safe from birds.

It is pretty safe here from the critters. The big worry here is hitting a deer with your car and ran over in your yard by a deer. Way too many f them.

Its possible to get knocked down by a deer here in your own yard. Wild turkeys are everywhere.
