Input on Keyless entry please?
Has anyone added keyless entry to their 57-60 truck? I am considering it and am curious how difficult it is since they dont have a thumb lock plunger against the window in the doors.

Exploded diagram
Anyone have an exploded diagram of the lock parts so I can see if there is a place to activate the mechanism with an actuator? I’m beginning to think Im on a fool’s errand on this one...🤓

Preliminary findings inconclusive
Investigation into the lock mechanisms revealed it may be possible to activate and deactivate the lock plate, but further investigation is required. Does anyone have a good exploded diagram of the lock mechanism and parts? Who has succeeded in keyless entry on this vintage truck... advice please??

Power door lock
The small solenoids that activate the door locks that come with the kits will not be strong enough to lock the passenger door since the handle has to be pushed down to lock. I know that the GM starter solenoids have been used since they are strong enough. You will have to add a extra relay to activate the large solenoid because they draw at least 30 amps. You may find what you need in an issue of Street Rodder magazine.
