Before I spend the money, does anyone know if I can add a 3rd FOB to my 2020 F250? I'd prefer the cheaper old style if possible.

Reason: Added the word "KEY" in title, as FOB can mean a number of other things, not all of them pleasant.
This is a very good question that I don't think has been answered yet. In 2017, yes you could add a 3rd (or 4th etc) Fob/key yourself as long as you had 2 working fobs/keys. In 2018, this changed, even though the owners manual didn't. The same procedure no longer worked on the 2018+. Some folks (H20Camper) had success but using different methods, but I don't think any particular method has been totally, universally, confirmed. Curious to see if this has changed again for 2020 or if there are still issues.
If you have the two FOB’s that came with your vehicle and if both are working, you can add a third one but it’ll be just like the other two.
By cheaper one I meant like the old style pictured below. I didn't want to get bashed earlier so I didn't give too much info. I want to try taking one apart and adding a timer controlled by a raspberry pi or another type of electronics module that will trigger the lock button every day at a specified time so in case I should forget to lock my truck at night, it will do it. Since they added scheduled remote starts to Ford Pass they could easily add a "Lock Check" feature to the app, but wouldn't have a clue who to suggest that to at Ford. My garage door automatically closes if open based on a schedule so our cars can.
Anyone know of a way to get a new key fob programmed if you only have one of your original key Fobs? I ordered one off of Amazon, but My Son lost one of my key fobs, so now i'm down to one key fob.

Used, mine only had 1 fob,. Selling non-ford dealer paid my local dealer to order, cut key and program... $380 if I remember.... I got them to do a 3rd for $120 at same time...
If it wasn't so cheap for me for 2, I would have called the local mobile locksmith guy here...he always has a solution and way cheaper than dealer
The frequency on those old style remotes is 315MHz. The frequency on the new style key/remote is 902MHz. So unless the BCM is set up to use both frequencies, it is unlikely that the old style remote will work on a 2017+ SD.
I just programmed a few keys using Forscan for a friend of mine on 2 of his 2011's. He only had one key for each. The Forscan procedure was straight forward although I cannot verify it will work for newer Super Duty's.

You have two choices.
Your local Ford dealer or a locksmith with the proper equipment to program a new key.
Either way and depending on the dealer or shop, at the very minimum, you’re going to be looking at $100.00 dollars.
If you can get it done for less, awesome.
Remember, you must have to working keys before another one can be programmed.

I remember those Fobs from a few Mustangs I’ve owned and you’re right, they’re tiny compared to the modern Fobs.
