Hello, I have found a 7.3 with the color I want and year. The only thing bothering me is the rust on the undercarriage. Also, it has a tuner and I have no clue if that's alright for a 7.3. I've read having a chip/tuner for the 6.0 was not a good idea. Please if you guys can give any insight on the rust and let me know if I should pass on it. Thank you
Hard to say if that's a good price or not without knowing more about it. It looks like it needs new tires. Where I'm from that's a lot of rust but obviously nothing for those people that have to deal with that kind of thing. Make sure you check the rockers thoroughly and not just the frame.
That is just surface rust. All the bolts are good and that surface rust can simply be wire brushed, treated with anti oxidizer (acid) and painted. Seems to be in really good shape. On this one I would focus on mechanicals and perhaps the interior. A programmer on the 7.3 is generally not a problem and more likely just desirable.
