Cool 2002 Excursion V-10 Help

Hey Gang,

My 2002 EX V-10 4x4 - stock 16" wheels, not lift has 94K miles and I'm the second owner (I've had 2 other EX's in my past both were 7.3's) and never had these issues:
1. ANNOYING rattle inside my driver door - window seals seam good and window has no play - sound is coming from the upper side right at ear level - any recommendations?
2. ANNOYING 'creek/grown' when rolling over small curbs (driveway sidewalk transition to the street) body mounts? - Shock bushings?
3. Spongy stock shocks - I'm towing a few different trailers and back-end of the EX drops pretty substantially (wakeboard boat 4K lbs, 29 Offshore boat 5600 lbs) Not an off-road beater - mostly freeway runs to and from the ramp - Shock recommendations, I plan on adding Timbrens vs airbags - Shock recommendations as I'd like a nice ride - not too firm as I'm in California and our roads SUUUUUUUCCKKKKK!
4. Recommendations for front and/or rear sway bars

Thanks in advance for any input

Sway bars: Hellwig - they do not affect ride quality, but definitely deter the big beast from rocking side to side.
Shocks: Bilstein 4600s - firmer and smoother than stock. 4600s have the same valving as the 5100s, but are made for stock height vehicles. I use Bilsteins on all my vehicles.
These two brands should give you a surprisingly good ride for your bumpy roads.

Cool beans. Glad to help. With the front sway bar, you have to use OEM endlinks. New ones should be in order if they were cracked, like mine.
I got my front sway bar from Jeg's, during one of their sales.
I got my shocks from 4 Wheel Parts. Their 4 corner special is only for 4 Wheel drive Ex's.

The bushing grease is what you need to use. Prothane is my favorite. I also put it on my shock bushings. It really cuts down on the squeeking.

Yes, my front body mounts groan around turns. I just turn up the music.
