I have taken my doors apart and removed the glass from the track and put it back in when I was installing new window seals. There was no glue required. I did have to remove the door panels to access the inside of the door and I broke the brittle plastic on those panels. Granted, I did not use the proper panel tool, but I think even with the right tool you run the risk of breaking those crappy panels. Anyway, if you want to work on the windows, the panels have to come off. The vent window assembly includes a track that goes down into the door and that can be unbolted/rebolted if necessary.
You need glass setting channel tape. Bronco Graveyard has it. They also have new channels if you need one I don't know if you need any type of glue. Check with your local glass shop. .https://shop.broncograveyard.com/197...uctinfo/24395/
Thank you for your replies.
So if I get a new channel and tape, the window should fit tight enough that i dont need glue? I will contact a window shop and see what they have.

The glass is retained to the window channel with glass tape, available from any auto glass shop.
