IDI repair question

Hello. First time posting about my IDI. It’s an e350 and not a truck but I didn’t think that would be relevant because I have questions about the engine. The 1994 van is in excellent shape and only has 130k. My valve covers are leaking so I need to replace the gaskets. My right exhaust manifold is cracked completely in half and needs replaced. While I’m in there I will be installing a new air filter and fuel filter/separator. I am installing completely new exhaust as well because it’s showing it’s age and the back half is completely gone at this point.I also would like to install new GPR.

Now my questions,
1) can I install same GPR that I put on my 97 powerstroke? It was from mouser electronics and is about double the size. It works amazingly .
2) I see on parts geek and other sites that there are just gaskets and there are kits with the harnesses. Should I get a kit and re-harness it while I’m in there?
3) what else should I update and replace while I’m in there?
4) are the parts in part geek and other online stores sufficient for what I need? I don’t know if the stealerships are going to have parts that old.

TIA

I assume you mean a Stancor Relay IF so then yes you can use it.
There are no wire harness under the valve covers on the IDI engines.
A return line kit would not be a bad idea while you are doing Valve cover gaskets.
I don't use Parts Geek so I cannot answer any questions about them BUT I do use Rock Auto .... I just hate the shipping games that Rock Auto plays....

Yeah that sounds familiar, it is a white-Rogers one but iirc they are the same thing? Ok some of the gaskets listed on the site had pigtails included and what not so wasn’t sure.
Cool I’ll shop for a return line kit as well. Much appreciated

This is photo of gasket kit

thank you and for the return line kit, that’s the injector fuel line return kit correct? Also any idea where I can find a complete exhaust online? They seem hard to come by

right the Injector Nozzle return cups and "O" Rings .. return fuel kit they have a tendency to leak when disturbed and changing valve cover gaskets is a good way to Disturb them

I saw some Exhaust manifolds for the E350 on Rock Auto..but they don't have a great selection of Pipes...

I don't know what exhaust system you are really looking for But FleaBay is a good starting point .... Jeggs has some complete systems too, You might want to check out some of your local Muffler shops too.

I'm sure someone else will come by and can post more on exhaust systems as I haven't been in that market for at least 30 years now.

yeah wasn’t overly impressed with RA selection. Maybe like you said and ask around. Thanks for all the help i used to do all the work on my OBS thanks to these forums but I’ve never worked on an IDI.

genscripter posts here quite often he would know more about Vans because there are differences in wiring and other things that we don't see so much on the trucks.

while the IDI engine is basically the same one thing that I know is different is the Angle of the Oil Filter on the Vans, and I'm not sure how much room you have on the passenger side to get the Valve cover off.... the Van is just a tighter work area

yeah it kinda sucks. I took the doghouse off earlier just to see what I would be getting myself into. While it gives me great access to some of the bolts, it’s gonna be real fun accessing the front bolts. Much less getting a torque wrench on things to make sure I don’t snap anything. Not really looking forward to it but this van is primarily our voyage vehicle and it sees some long trips. I need it running like a top and as reliable as a 25 year old vehicle can be.
