Had no brake lights and couldn’t shift out of park
Replaced the brake shift interlock with a new Motorcraft part from the dealer. New part is identical to the old one
New part did not fix the issue.
There are four pins in the part that plug into the truck harness. I tested for continuity in both the old and new part because I thought maybe that a wire in the old part was bad/broken
There was only continuity between the two middle pins in both the old and new part; there was no continuity between any other combination of the four pins
Does anyone know if that is how it’s supposed to be?
