Shift Lever Boot

I know, it's a bit mundane and probably something most won't find too interesting, right?

I'm looking for a Shift Lever Boot for a 1963 Ford F250 with an I262 & Warner T98. However... after quite a bit of searching, I've come up short. Does anybody know where they can be had? I've checked my usual suspects (MACs, C&G, LMC, CJPony, NPD, and Green Sales). Most have the years prior and some the years just post - but none show as having the boot for a '63.

Is it the same boot (round) as on other Ford products for the same year? Ranchero? Falcon? Galaxy?
Aftermarket suggestions that are close in L&F?

Thx in advance,

-Thomas

I'm not sure what the early trucks used, I'm surprised the usual suspects haven't chimed in yet.

I know the later trucks used one that looks like this.

This boot is not reproduced, NOS ones are scarce and tend to sell for way more than I would personally ever pay for a shift boot.

If it fits a 1961, it will also fit 1962/63, probably 1964/66 as well, but...

Is your truck 2WD or 4WD? If it's 2WD, there isn't one.

Thx for chiming-in Bill!

She's 2WD - so I'm not missing anything with my lookups. There simply "...isn't one."

Ok, now to find something that's 'close enough'.

If anyone has a good picture of the original, please post it. I'd like to see an example of what I should be looking for.

Thx in advance,

-Thomas

I have a 65 with the same boot. Looked to get a new one or something to replace it but couldn’t find anything. So,I just decided to repair and clean up my original boot. Not sure if you have the original thta can be spruced up?

See my pic in post #4. The part # is C1TT-7B118 something. Can't remember the whole number, I sold it cheaply on the other slick site almost two years ago by responding to a wanted thread so it's gone now.

Unfortunately, she came sans boot when I got her.

Lotsa luck, because there isn't one.

C1TT-7B118-B .. Gear Shift Lever Boot / Obsolete = 1961/66 H/HT850/1000 // 1965/67 F100/250 2WD 352.

C6TZ-7B118-A .. Gear Shift Lever Boot / Obsolete = 1966/76 F100 4WD // 1966/76 F250 2WD & F350 // 1967/76 F250 4WD // 1975/76 F150 2WD/4WD

For what it's worth, Dennis Carpenter shows this part number. The base of this boot is almost rectangular, I recognize it it as the boot from the bump side trucks.

Love the S&W mats, Christmas!!

I'm considering a square as there appears to be a larger variety for the size. Like you said, "It gets the job done."

Wonderful, but it's not for the OP's truck, regardless of what Carpenter claims.
