Just wanted to know what anyone thinks of side-pipes on a bronco....
If they are tucked under pretty good ..no one should (should is key word) get burnt on them...
Doorgunner...I have not looked at Lakewoods....
But I think they would look pretty good...
I would like to find a short pair...
I have the nerf bars and would like to install them between the bars and frame...
So my idea is not that far fetched?....
anyone good with photoshop??...maybe add a set to a pic..so I could get an better idea how they would look
I thought about making my own...then coat them with that green stuff that turns black....cant think of the name of stuff...used to paint stove pipes and stuff....
I could make them from a couple old drive shafts
I currently have side pipes om my '89 Bronco(pics soon). The 52" would be just right. I have 50" now, and the extra 2 would work too. I got mine from Summit, but I didn't get lake pipes. I got the baffled ones with slotted cover. Simular to what u see on Semi-trucks.
At idle, they are quite, just a little rumble, but can hardly hear it. But when u open it up, man does it turn heads.
When I mounted them, I had to bend the braket straight, and drill a hole in the part where the body is wielded together, and bent down. U will see it if u get under the truck and look under the door, past the rocker panel towards the frame.
I have no smog, so I didn't worry about the cats, but u do have to hook up the O2 sensor. But Basiclly I run full lenth headers with with 2 1/2" pipe to the side pipes.
