Thumpty, thump...thump.....thump
Hey guys,
So I am having the well known thumping problem when leaving a light, its pretty bad. So i decide to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. I unload the "tow safe" program and you can barely notice the thumping but i take it anyway. Of course they tell me no problem found and all is normal. I take it home and reload the "tow safe" program and it is back to the same old thump.
Any coments on the situation? Now I am not a hot rod and not even on the gas when leaving a light and the thing has a pretty good thump. My suspicion is the "programing" causes the load to come on earlier before the slip joint can slip so it pops.
Also it seems more pronounced when it is warmer out than cooler????
I am also worried that the added power might be messing up something in the rear end and/or showing a future problem. Maybe it is only with the xtra power that the slip joint is binding and I do not want to drop it off with the program loaded. I was under the 36k limit but now am over.
Could there be anything else to look for? Anychance the program could be faulty? Thanks for your comments
