Any recommendations for a one-off leaf spring replacement? One of my springs is cracked in half. All the others look great. Its one of the unique ones for the spring clips.
I would prefer to find an original take-off since I imagine it would be cheaper than having a spring shop make a new one.
Any suggestions?
Also, I just pressed in the spring eye bushings and they are going to require reaming in order to fit the pins. What is the best kind of hand reamer to get for the bushings?
I changed all the springs on my '50 F2. I got them from Posies Rod and Custom. I used their Super Slide in the rear and Dual Flex in the front with Bilstein shocks. It lowered the truck by about 2½" and greatly improved the ride.
Honestly, unless you are going to haul heavy stuff in your truck, I'd just pull the broken spring and the corresponding one on the other side. You'll have to figure out the clips, tho. I doubt it would affect ride height noticeably.

If it were any other leaf than the spring clip leaf, I would have considered that. A forum member was able to pull the identical leaf from a set of take-off springs, so I'll be good to go once I receive it in the mail.
I know the stock springs won't give a great ride, but I'm keeping everything 100% stock.
