Looks like a ground connection. Weird that it is in a plastic frame, though (if I am correct). I'm not a diesel guy, fyi.

I figured it out. It's not a ground, but that was a good guess. No, all it is is some Ford Engineers idea of adding things that are completely unnecessary. All that is is a junction box that runs the power from the positive battery cable into the cab. It powers all of the electronics from the ignition to the overhead light. The cable is all one piece and that box is completely useless. So, me being the redneck farmer that I am, jury rigged the crap out of it and got the two connected with an old battery terminal connector. 😂 And, voila! The truck runs fine again.
A shame Ford could not add $0.89 to the price of the truck and use brass studs. I guess having to have a 500 page owners manual with 350 pages dedicated to how to operate all the electronics is more important.

They have that junction in case the cable has to be replaced. Most would rather replace half the cable instead of ripping the whole thing out.
