Power Steering Box Price?

Hey guys I was wondering how much a power steering box off of a 78 F-150 was worth. I know they are like 300 new, but of course the ones I have arent new, but they are still good. Let me know, Thanks!

2X4 or 4X4 box?

I got a used 2X4 box at a junkyard for $40. Didn't even need to replace the seals.

A power steering gear for a 78 F150 2wd is worth about $169.

i paid 200 bucks for my new one on a 77 4x4. don't know if that helps.

Umm I have two of them off of 2 wheel drives, I didnt know there was a difference. I know there is for the pump with the brackets. I was just kinda wondering, because I have two of them that I want to sell.

I learned a funny lesson messing with those. Has a 73 4x4 1/2 ton that needed a steering box desperately. Found one from a 3/4 ton and it fit perfectly, but when I turned the steering wheel right the wheels went left! Did not try to drive it.

Haha, yeah Ive heard stories about that. In fact my 78 the previous owner had the same trouble. He put a manual steering box on and it turned the tires different directions, but he actually drove it for awhile like that!!!!!
