Flatbed

I have been looking around the forum to see if there was a post on this already and I can't find a recent one. I am trying to find a flatbed for my 1985 F-250HD and I was wondering what, if any, modern flatbeds fit our trucks? I have a reg cab, 8' bed. I was looking at a newer Eby bed but I have no clue if it will fit.

How far apart are your frame rails? You need that info, or at least it helps.

Is your frame straight or does it kick up over the rear axle?

You will probably not find a direct bolt on. You will have to make the mounting points and marry them up to the bed.

I did a search for "flatbeds for sale" and found billions.

85e150 is on the right track.
Most flat beds are made for CC trucks and the frame spacing is different than that of a pick up truck frame.
So measure you frame and that of the flat bed to see if it will measure up right.

I had considered changing my Bullnose to a flatbed. As the others said, you won't be able to find a bolt-on flatbed. You will have to buy one and modify it, or you will have to DIY. Here's a good thread on building a flatbed.
