Find a local shop to go through it. Probably just needs bearings and a set of brushes.
If not, buy one from Autozone. 20% off of $180 plus tax, free overnight freight, and lifetime warranty. ALL new unit. It is what is on mine, zero issues.

Thanks, not sure this one could be rebuilt. Smells melted and metal shavings. I think it would have caught on fire had I not stopped! It was really hot when I opened the hood. Luckily I was only about 3 miles from the house. I just took the belt off and got it home. Need two boys and a man to steer these things with now power steering!!!
