Ordering 2020 - Heated Steering Wheel
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I browsed here a few times for information before placing the order on my new truck. It's a 2020 F-350 Lariat in Silver Spruce. When going through the options myself and the sales manager learned that the only way you can get a heated steering wheel is if you get the heated windshield wipers. There was no other way to get it, which I guess was different from last year. So I just thought I would give everyone else a heads up. Just because you have a leather wrapped wheel and heated seats doesn't mean you get a heated steering wheel. You have to add on the heated wipers (For Lariat models). Now the wait is on..... This is my first Super Duty since my lemon of a 2006 6.0L that I owned 12 years ago. I've been driving Rams since but I'm looking forward to getting back into a Ford.

Yes, OP is correct. On the Lariat trim, in order to get a heated wheel, you have to get the windshield deicer. For $165, that seems like one of the options that would be well worth the money.
A question I have (no doubt answered in here somewhere) is how the wiper deicer works and whether that function is connected to the steering wheel heat?
The things that really needs deicing, in my F150 experience, are the nozzles that spray the washer fluid.
BTW, thanks much to George C (if I'm not mistaken) for posting the order guide, which enables us to figure a lot of this out without relying on salesman answers, which are not always reliable.

that’s what we originally thought. But the lariat ultimate package no longer includes the heated steering wheel. You have to order the heated wipers to get the heated steering wheel. At least that’s what it is in Canada.

Hi there!! I noticed in your post you said you're ordering a silver spruce. Do you know there are delays in getting that color? I've read here, two dates - March then August. Just FYI. Might warrant a conversation with your dealer. If you're cool with the delay, that will be one gorgeous truck!

I ordered a Silver Spruce F350 in December, still don't have a VIN.
For what it's worth, I did find a webpage showing a March 20 date for Silver Spruce production to start.
Also refers to MP2, would that be job #2?

I looked at the link you provided. It says Silver Spruce start date 3/20/30 - I think they screwed up the date and it should be 3/30/20 which is a Monday and would make more sense then starting on a Thursday. I ordered the Silver Spruce as well a few weeks ago and don't have a VIN yet either.
