I’ve had 2 panoramic roofs and yeah they can have minor issues. Main issue is I dont use it and you need to lube it regularly and I dont feel like it.
So it can rattle.
My 2015 was an early one and the track broke, broke on a perfect day too lol while I was on some back country roads in the hill country on a trip.
Lube issue...
I keep hearing talk about moonroof issues. What is the problem with them?
Take your pick, lots leak, some stick and others have had full glass replacement because it was warped. The panoramic roof is not highly regarded here.

I've noticed that. I've never had one in any of previous trucks. A buddy bought a used 2016 Lariat about 2 years ago with one and I was sold. It was just super cool. He just turned 100k miles (uses it for work) and he's not had any problems. I suppose I'll have my dealer lubricate it at service appointments and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the heads up
I've never had a lick of trouble with my moon roof, from what I've read, it's always been the super crew with the problems.
As far as price goes, it better plateau soon or they will be shooting themselves in the foot with a lot of potential customers,
especially with the price of housing these days.
Another synthetic bubble on the horizon.
me personally, I woulda waited for the interior makeover and the bugs to be worked out of the 10 speed, I bought a 2019, ill trade it in when the new interior comes out.
On top of what you said, the price is definitely not going to be going down either
I was digging through old emails yesterday and came across a build sheet I had put together for nearly the same truck I just bought (KR, no Tremor obviously), but a 2011...$20k less...made me want to cry.
No because they aren't available on STX trucks. I wouldn't get one anyway with all the issues people talk about having with them. Seems like there are two groups of people with moonroofs- those who have trouble and those who will have trouble.

Had a 2003 Lariat 7.3 diesel MSRP if I remember correctly was 44ish?
2016 lariat 6.7 diesel MSRP $67k
2020 lariat 6.7 diesel MSRP $75k
All equipped roughly the same based on options available at the time
2000 F150 33k vs 2014 for 44k
2005 f150 lariat 35k vs 2019 platinum $63k
1997 expedition 27k vs 2007 30k now 2020 starts 52k.
Im one who continues to purchase new, but I do not see where double the cost comes from. Employee min wage has probably only increased a few bucks over the last 15 years.
The older less expensive had more rebates and discounts than these newer more expensive. So as far as the price going down or rebates going up, that wont happen until next recession.

Yea man, crazy. Certainly more capable and all around a more advanced machine...but DANG, all the money. My 20 Platinum Tremor 350 6.7 MSRP was $88k.
