Accelerator cable finally crapped out on the truck today. I was driving to my dad's house and couldn't help but notice the engine was locked into a very fast idle RPM. A bunch of pedal slapping was no help in lowering the idle speed.

When I left my dad's I had a completely different experience. The idle speed was fine but the pedal would barely move allowing only a few hundred RPM above idle at most. I was able to limp home.

I guess this sleeve part got all wadded up.

Auto Zone will have me a new cable tomorrow.
$30 at AZ, O'Reilly's wants $45 and would have to ship.
