Timken Axle Thrust Washers
Timken Axle Thrust Washers
I am rebuilding the differential on my 1950 F-2, I am keeping the original Timken split axle.
All the gearing inside looks great, I am replacing all bearings and installing Chuck's 4.12 drive gear and pinion set.
Does anyone know of a source for the pinion gear and side gear thrust washers? I've looked quite a bit, but haven't found anything. These are the parts I'm looking for.
61-4228 Side Gear Thrust Washer
61-4194 Thrust Block
61-4230 Pinion Gear Thrust Washer
Thanks

You shouldn't need to replace the thrust block. It would only contact the back of the ring gear as the ring gear is forced away from the pinion under extreme load. I would be surprised if it has ever contacted the thrust block.
