Let me first introduce myself. I am Erik, 29 years old, living in the Netherlands and owning a 1971 Ford F250 camper special special with an FE 390 with holley 4160 on it. https://imgur.com/a/I5yRchn
As a novice, I signed up here to gain more knowledge and to ask a question right away.
Due to hot idle issues I decided to overhaul the carburetor first and I found out that someone connected the PCV valve tube to the hot choke. Result: https://imgur.com/XQDW9jy
I do not have a PCV intake on my carburetor. Question 1: where do I connect the pcv valve tube from the valve cover? Question 2: where can I connect the hot choke tube?
Where is the vacuum hose from your brake booster connected? The 4160 has a vacuum port for the PCV on the side of it. The stock manifold has a vacuum tree in the intake on the rear passenger side. Is that port plugged?
As original with Auto-Lite 2100 series 2V carburetor: Smog valve fits into rubber grommet in right valve cover, smog hose routes from valve to nipple on carb spacer plate.
What if you dont have an pcv valve inlet on your carb spacer?
Do you see the VACUUM FITTING(s) marked C9ZZ 9A474-A? You would use that port (MODIFY - REPLACE FITTING(S) as it is directly @ the intake carb plenum and will allow a more even distribution of fumes to all cylinders.
Maybe a dump question, i'm a newbie... but, i have an hot choke which is not electric. Fresh air doesn't trigger the choke for opening, right?
Not a dumb question, just an oversight on my part. I was just explaing the purpose of the hose as it was marked ?????.
As to the hot air supply to your HOT AIR CHOKE, it is drawn from a choke stove on the right exhaust manifold. A fresh air tube runs from the carb air cleaner mounting base to the choke stove.
Sorry about that ...
EDIT -
Here is a photo of a period FE with choke hot air tubes. Thia will give you an idea of what is needed unless you go electric.

Thank you for the explanation. Its clear for me now

If no port, get back.
Tomorrow I will search extensively for this port on the intake. So far i cannot find this port on my intake manifold where C9ZZ-9A474-A is located on the image.
Suggestions are welcome
Best is to find a spacer plate with the PCV made into it. You don't have to use the water inlets if you find a plate like the one shown. Some don't have that.
