Sorry, I'm sure this has been answered somewhere before but I couldn't find it. I bought my truck used. 17' F350 CCSB 6.7L Lariat UP and just noticed today that I think my hubs are in the lock position but I am not 100% sure. It's freakin cold out today in MN so I'd rather not crawl under the truck to see if the axles free spin. I feel like an idiot asking and I think it is in the lock position but I'd rather not rely on my guess. Can anyone tell me from the pic if I am in lock or auto?
Looks like hubs are in the locked position. According to the markings on dial; full clockwise turn locks the hubs. Yours look to be turned full clockwise. No worries if they are manually locked. Running them that way won't cause damage. May affect gas mileage.

Thank you, that's what I thought they were indicating. I know it won't hurt anything but I'd like to see if the auto works and how much it affects MPG.
So I went to turn the hubs to auto. Drivers side switched to auto just fine. Went to the passenger side and I find it is already on auto like I thought they had both been from the start.
So this means someone must have been messing with them. That explains the increased "road noise" from driver side I noticed about 3 days ago.
I'm sure it's fine but now I'm nervous about any possible damage caused by running this way. Not a locker or even limited slip dif so should be ok??
I guess I need to keep an eye on my hubs from now on. Wish poeple would leave **** alone that isn't theirs! 🤬
