'09 F250 Super Duty, 5.4L, 4X4, etc...So the issue is the "pad" or horn button with the Ford Logo right in the center of my steering wheel is broken ( See attached ). It was that way when I bought it...Truck has about 60k miles on it, we bought it in 2011 with 42k. 8' bed w/supercab, I only us it as my RV with a cabover camper.
How did this break in the Vinyl happen ? You always wonder with a vehicle purchased used, especially such a good buy, with low mileage. Anyway, I'm happy with the vehicle in general, it does what I need it to do, awful gas mileage, but that was expected. I can't seem to repair this torn vinyl which is irritating. Can I purchase this part ? Would it be easy to install, or am I fooling with some airbag trigger ?
I'm not going into the stupid tire pressure fault error message, I've had it fixed, broke again right away, now I just carry around a $10 air gauge.
Thats the airbag assembly, probably broke when somebody started pounding on it like owed em money. Easy enough 2 change, theres some metal tabs behind the wheel to push on.
I have a damage free airbag from a '10 same color, same everything. PM me if you're interested.
I had the tpms disabled threw the GEM module and sensors removed( band style ). Just a pain, all around.
