Adding lcd/video to 03 expedition

Adding lcd/video to 03 expedition
I just bought an 03 expedition Eddie B, without the factory dvd or navigation system. I want to add an lcd to the floor storage bin, as well as on the seatbacks. What size/model fit the storage bin? Any suggestion on models? How about the headrests?

try a search on cardomain.com. Alot of the Expeditions on there have aftermarket televisions. You can search Expedition and then click the year and it will allow you to only see 03's.
I'm having a 12.2 overhead installed later this week in my wifes. The 12.2 fits perfectly behind the overhead console and between the dips in the headliner. I did notice that on her new 04 the did away with the center air vent that may of been in the way with a larger monitor.
DVD player, Tuner (for local television stations) twice as big of screen and 400.00 less than Ford wants........LOL

I would not even bother with the center console monitor. It is so low the only person that can see it good it the center seat passenger. I didn't bother with it after I figured this out. I went seat back monitors and an overhead and in dash. Click on the link under my icon that will bring you to my page you can see the stuff there. It all installls really easy. If you are a mechanical person I would say do it yourself rather thanpay some one.

I checked out cardomain, but they didnt have much for the expy. There are some nice vehicles on that site- makes me want to step up my game! For those of you who have aftermarket dvd & monitors, what brands did you get? I see a lot of pyle stuff selling for cheap on ebay

Nice set up. I also went with the Blaupunkt DVD. It has worked great.

Here is a link to a Crutchfied project Exp. I copied this in my '00 EB. The angle of the screen is perfect. Both of my kids can see it from child seats. I highly recommend the Clarion monitors. They are bright and crisp. I bought the console from Crutchfield for $50.00. It looks factory. I'm not sure what other years are available. I bought the screen elsewhere much cheaper. I was not impressed with some of the cheap monitors from ebay. Most are not sharp and wash out in light. It all depends on your budget. I did mine in an afternoon for under $500.

STAY AWAY FROM PYLE MONITORS!!!!! They are GARBAGE. I bought 2 and the picture sucked. I now have one left and a Farenheit. 7.2" The Farenheit is AWESOME. The picture is phenominal. I am waiting for another one to pop up on EBay. I cost around $200.00.
But, STAY AWAY FROM PYLE!!!!!!!!! They are not called PILE for nothing!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I like the Blau. DVD. But my remote eye crapped out and I have to get a new one. Other than that it has performed FLAWLESSLY........EVEN WHEN I GO OFFF ROADING..................

I'm thinking of buying the pyle dvd tuner, whats the consensus on that? I was in a store today, and the pioneer lcd's look great! There was alot of stuff that looked pretty much the same in quality. So, the star vision lcd's are good?

I have Alpine TME-M760s in each of the seat backs they are 6.5" screens with 3 inputs each with a auto dimmer/brightener feature.
A Alpine DVA-5205 in the center console laying flat with a shelf above it. It is a little bit of a pain to get the DVDs in and out if you keep a bunch of stuff in the console, but the unit can mount no more then 30 degrees so I had no option.
A Alpine VCR under the passenger seat. Along with Alpine wireless head phones and FM modulator to run through the factory system.
I upgraded the spreakers to Polk db 570s. I do need a sub, but have not figured where to put it yet.
The remote works off an eye in front or just point it at the monitors in the rear.
