EGR delete code
I bought a 2006. 6.0. I just had the heads studded and the EGR deleted. I was planning on buying a SCT X4 programmer to delete the check engine light due to the EGR delete. But now I've been informed that the SCT programmer will no longer delete the egr check engine code. Is there anything out there that will work. I know the epa is cracking down on the diesel world. Any help would be great. Thanks

You actually don't need a programmer, the old ones get rid of the light and that's really it. It's just a soft code from the PCM saying it doesn't see any EGR flow. Honestly, the engine won't miss the EGR flow. The only reason you'd need the light off is for emissions.
