11870 +/- I just had a fuel pump start going out about 3 weeks ago. I didn't have a fuel gauge to monitor and I lost #1 injector. I have a gauge now. I'm Hoping it didn't hurt any more.It runs smooth at idle and speed. New filters and oil change with Hot Shot.

what are the typical symptoms of a bad injector?
Can be a lot of things, from hard starting, to smoke, to a melted engine

Im going to get FORSCAN and run a cylinder contribution test soon to see if an injector or two are out of balance with the others

I have 240K on my Excursion, motor just took a dump. Injectors seem to have been fine, but replacing all while doing the motor, no extra labor anyway!

Thanks for all the replies! So far we have-

Me- at least 170k miles on the ones in my truck, possibly 250k. On the Ford history report I didn’t see any injectors listed as replaced.

Smackdaddy- half made it to 170k

HP junkie- most made it to 230k

TxMav- two made it to 140k, the rest are still going at 209k

ToolmakerRob- still going at 270k

Visurveyor- 1 replaced at 110k, rest still going

Jmaskew- still going at 267,500

Kemicalburns- still going at 154k

LOOnatic- still going at 195k

hink10- replaced at 240k preventively

Euroman- still going at 150k

187706 miles .To my knowledge, still running original injectors. I am the second owner and didn't see them listed as replaced on any of my paperwork.

Side-bar, does the free version of ForScan allow this? I had gotten ForSCAN and the Wifi Adapter for my Ecoboost and didn't know it did 6.0 things too. That's awesome if it does as I was looking at getting IDS or a clone.

It won't do a full contribution test but it will pickup contribution/balance codes thrown by a 6.0. I had a bad injector from a pump going bad and it showed a contribution/balance code for that cylinder.

Thanks to all for the replies, and huge thanks to Jack for creating the chart!

And I’m starting to feel a little better that my injectors won’t crap out on me before summer
