Battery mount

1950 F-1, took a 226 out and put in a 239 but the battery mount that was on the left side with the 226 will not remount there with the 239.
Does anyone have a pic or can tell me where the battery mounts with a 239?

V8 battery mount is in the same place, just the opposite side. The trays are different but V8 repro trays are available.

I don't need it but, if the 226 battery tray is in decent shape, be sure to hold on to it. Someone on FTE could probably use it and you can't buy a reproduction, as far as I know.

Hello ,
I have a Mercury M47 1950 V8 6V contact positive is the skeleton.
And if I understand goes about wiring cables?
If so, the plus is on the solenoid and minus on the starter.
