Hunting leases

Just wondering if yall know where there is a place to find deer leases on the internet that won't charge me to look them up. i left my old lease because the lumber company was asking to much this year. I am suppose to go hunt up in Wheeler Tx this year, but my brothers and i wan't to find a lease somewhere in the piney woods or hill country closer to houston. do yall have any ideas where to look or any leases that you might know of?

Hey, if I were you I would do a search for Chamber of Commerce sites around where you want to hunt - they generally keep a list of guys in their region who lease spaces - other than that, I haven't found a place that lists for free. Deertexas.com has a BUNCH of listings, but I think they charge 39. for a year - but from my experience, it's worth it!

If you're still looking for land/lease, I know of a guy who is a land broker and had a lease for sale in North Texas. Supposedly it is really nice and a great bargain. I'm not sure if he still has it or not but if you are interested, I will check.

I just found a little info. that I had written down. It's a little over 500 acres near Haskell county. It has 2 cabins, a 2 car garage, water stocks, feeders, stands/blinds, turkey, quail, white tail, dove... he said it was a turn key deal. I know the land is worth around $850 an acre but I think he was trying to unload it for much less than that. He might also have more land too.

I have a 110 ac parcel of land just outside Harelton Texas (near Marshall and Longview) that I would like to lease for Hunting. If anyone is interested e-mail me. It is completely wooded with pines and mixed hardwoods, espicially by the creek.

I signed up the other day for the one in Newton County, it is pretty nice, they just had some problems with some of the hunters last year and now they are trying to bring in all new people, so now i am the youngest on the lease. my old lease had one main camp where everyone stayed at, this one has a couple camps all over it, i somehow got the nicest one, i have a natural stream running right behind my camp, with a big field behind it so i set up a feeder over there, so hopefully i will wake up saturday morning and get a big buck without even getting dressed. but i also have 2 more spots and i put up my feeders and stands this past weekend. pretty good, i have about 250 acres to myself for only 400 bucks. its a nice size lease its about 3000 acres and its right along a national forest.

well, i went back out there last weekend and got there friday night. i didn't want to driveout to my stand in the morning because i didn't know how bad my road there would be from the previous rain (its all gumbo). but i decided to drive out there the next afternoon. yeah, well i got stuck. i spent the next 2 hours digging myself out again and again. but i did see a big buck, around a 10 point, but i only saw it for a second and didn't get the chance to shoot. on the way back i got a rabbit, only took 7 shots. but it was good eatin. i guess the sights are of on the ol' pistola.
