Ford does Remans. Around $3200-3600. 3 years/36,000 mile warranty. And can be serviced under warranty across the Entire USA!
Monster does Remans too. But turn around is weeks. Not sure of the warranty period for them. Have heard well about them too.
Stay away from anyone charging less than $2000-2500 or 90 day, or 1 year warranty. It will be a bitter sweet deal.

Are they actually still available?
I know they show up as available online, I am think someone on the forum bought one last year but... I inquired after a short block recently, which also show as still available online, and showed as available to a Ford Parts counter worker, but when they went in to order one, they found none available to actually order. I fear the transmissions may be in the same boat... IDK
