I’m worried I’ll have issues on the road and have to buy regular light bulbs or be in the dark
Whenever I put "better" bulbs in any of my vehicles I always take the stock bulbs and put them in the packages from the "better" bulbs and put them somewhere safe in the car / truck.
i installed some but in my drl i had a take them back out they started flickering like crazy and they had the canbus error code in them! also on auto and park them make buzzing sound in my dash by the switch but on headlights it dosent make any noise im guessing my truck don't like them!
Some people have had this issue. Beamtech offers "decoders" for free if you contact them about the problem. And from what I've read on these pages the bulb version that does not have fans seems to work out better.

i have a 17’ F250 6.2L
It's not always the easiest, especially on your first go round. I've done it about every way between two different trucks. Grille removal method. Removing only the filler neck on the washer tank method. Last time I didn't remove anything but the air breather snorkel and still had all 4 bulbs installed in no time at all. In all cases for the 6.2 unsnap the air breather snorkel out on the passenger side for access. So yes, there's room for these bulbs or so many of us wouldn't be using them.

Good plan. I have all of my stock bulbs in a ziploc in the storage compartment under the center section of the front seat. You never know.

Thank you for the great information. In your opinion would you recommend the ones with a fan to install ? Will the fan increase longevity of the life of bulb. Or what is the benefit of the cylinder on the end of the bulb.
im sorry for the newbie questions, from my name I’m more use to the older models so I haven’t learned about these fancy smancy led bulbs.
i had a 14’ F150 prior that I wasn’t to interested in doing anything. But now with the F250 male performance has been increased and my woman finds me sexier 🤷🏻♂️.

Questions are what the place is all about. Don't worry about that.
As far as Beamtech I can only give you personal experience along with what I've gathered here from others. My Beamtech non fan bulbs were purchased just before Christmas 2017. They're in the second truck and still working fine. As far as the fan I have no personal experience. My reading here shows that some like them just fine. Others have complained of noise, radio interference, etc. That might be a case by case type of thing.
I have the type pictured first in this post with the flatter base. I think it may have been the only option at the time. The second photo with the round base shows the bulb to have more lumens. May be worth a try.

maby ill order some decoders and try that! thanks!
It doesn't appear that removing the grille is much of a job. If I can get time this weekend mine should be in today, I'll try and do the install to see how long the process takes. Is there any adjustment needed on the housings after install or just plug and play?
On my 2017 f350 I replaced all of the headlight bulbs and only removed the breather snorkel and the filler for the washer fluid, I'm not sure why you would want to remove the grill.

I've done it all ways. Believe me, grille removal is time consuming compared to not. And if I remember correctly it really doesn't gain you much unless you also remove the headlight housings.
If it's a 6.2 just remove the washer tank filler neck if you need to on the driver side and the air breather snorkel pops right out on the passenger side. Never done a 6.7. From what I understand you may have to remove the second battery. Still better than all those fasteners for the plastic on top of the radiator and snaking down in to pop those bottom fasteners at the bottom of the grille.
After having gone through it a few times I only removed the breather snorkel last time and had all 4 light bulbs in about 10 minutes later.
