So I recently bought a 78 f 150 single cab short bed with a 400m and a 4 speed. It idles fine and will drive well until about 20 minutes into running. if I stop at a stoplight the truck will take off fine but once I hit about 2k in third and am about to shift the engine will die. if I clutch in it will rev fine but will die under pressure. and once I pull over it will die in first and second too. I can leave it sit for an hour and restart the process. Currently ive replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, carb base plate gasket, acceleration switch, ignition coil, ignition control module, and vacuum advance, and it still does it. The distributor, plugs, and wires are all in good shape. Im lost and I need to see if yall had any ideas on what else it might be.

Maybe the clutch an pressure plate need changed ? But not sure as it does sound like something getting hot an shutting down,,does it have cruise control maybe something related to that , I have seen it on newer cars that caused stalling issues
Have you checked to to see if you have good fuel draw from the fuel tank. But it really sounds like ignition module, btw what the hell is an acceleration switch,or are you talking about throttle actuator?
