My dealer says you have to title the truck in your business name to get that incentive. Is this true? I didn't want to lose my deal on extended warranty. Thanks Jack
Re: 1956MarkII... Question on Comm. Connection Prog.
NOT true. Ford only requires that, when the vehicle sale is reported in an individual's name, you provide proof that the individual is the business OWNER and not an employee. If it's an incomplete vehicle (chassis-cab, cutaway, or pickup box delete), then no proof is necessary. Forms of acceptable proof are: business license, yellow pages listing, DBA, incorporation papers, sales tax license, federal tax ID, commercial liability insurance policy, verifiable Dunn & Bradstreet listing, crop/ livestock insurance, federal land-use restriction/ land grant subsidy documentation, or specialized IRS forms (schedule C, schedule F, etc...).
Another dealer that doesn't even understand his own incentives- it's a scary business sometimes!
Thanks again for the info. I'm getting conflicting reports on the incentive amounts. Over on one forum it's saying spend $1200 and get $500 back. Here I thought I read spend $1200 and get $1000 back. Can this also be used in conjunction with the AQHA rebate?
Although it's possible that programs can vary from one part of the country to another, the Commercial rebate should be the same everywhere: $1,000 back if you spend at least $1,200. It does vary from model to model, so you need to check that with your dealer. Some vans get more money back, and some models require you to spend more than $1,200. But the $1200-gets-you-$1000 applies to most trucks. Commercial Connection should be compatible with AQHA, but double-check with your dealer. If they're not sure then send me your VIN and ZIP code- I'll look it up for you.
I asked my dealer again yesterday, I don't think he has a clue about what's going on, he said I had to spend $1200 to get $500 back. Something to the affect because it was an F150. My VIN is 1FTPW14524KB44801. I've ordered it through North Point Ford in Little Rock, 72231. Do rebates hurt his commission or something? He's not very forthcoming with anything. I really appreciate the help on this. He did say the AQHA rebate can be used in conjunction with the commercial program....

My mistake- I didn't realize that the 2004 F-150 (non-Heritage) only gets $500 on the Commercial Connection- I just verified with the info you gave me. Everything else from Ford gets the $1,000.
That's a no-no. Existing options, or adding equipment that could have been ordered from the factory, do not qualify for the rebate. Let's say you buy a base XL with absolutely no options, and have the dealer install A/C. This doesn't count towards the $1200 because the truck could have been ordered from the factory with A/C. Ford is real clear on this- these restrictions have been part of the program since day one.
Dealer called today and said my screw is in. My question is there any chance for some incentives this week? He said Ford usually announces programs on the first wed. of the month. Thanks....
I hate to say this, but your guess is as good as mine. Trying to figure out what Ford's going to do with rebates is impossible; just when you think for sure they're going to zig, they zag. You've got nothing to lose by waiting a few days, and if something happens on Wednesday, I'll leave a note here. If you leave your ZIP code, I can tell you specifically what incentives you qualify for. Of course, if your luck's anything like mine, Ford WILL announce a $1,000 rebate- the day AFTER you've picked up your new truck!

I contacted the AG here in Florida and he told me to contact the Feds that when the Dealer I purchased my Excursion from removed the window sticker he violated a Federal law, $1000 and 1 year. After the problems I have had, watching them go to Federal jail would put a smile on this old Jar Head. Pete
