Raise front or lower rear?

Was at the dealership yesterday to pick up a coupler reducer and took a few minutes to talk to somebody in the service department about the lowering/raising issue. I have a 2019 F250 extended cab, long bed. I asked if they could (and would) lower the rear end with smaller blocks and they said said yes. I asked if it would void any part of my warranty and they said no. They did, however, strongly suggest raising the front end instead of lowering the rear end. They didn't seem to really have a good reason why they suggested this. I asked if they'd have to re-align the front end after the front end leveling and they said yes which is something I'd already heard would need to be done. I asked for a quote for the leveling (raising front end) and was told about $600 and that they use parts from Rough Country. If I did want to level my truck, I'd probably go for lowering the rear end so that just maybe that would be enough to get my truck into the garage. Does anyone have anything to say about pros and cons of raising one end or the other? Thanks.

Lowering the rear should be the less expensive route. Lifting the front, especially with larger tires, would be better looking. But that's subjective.

Yes there are. And I have read lots. My question has to do more with the technical/mechanical aspects as opposed to aesthetics. In other words, has anyone had any problems that resulted from lowering the rear end or raising the front end.

Well in that case, you should start getting the, "I leveled the front and have no issues", or "I lowered the rear and have no issues".

Just curious, why do you want to level it?

If your goal is to lower the truck enough to get into your garage, lowering the rear is the best approach. Raising the front will level the truck but not lower it. You always have the option of lowering the rear first. If that does not meet your needs you can raise the front.

It would probably just be to try to fit it into the garage, although even that may not help. I do think they look better leveled, but not sure if it's worth the money. I haven't towed yet with it, but if the rear end is levelish when I do then I'd probably just leave it as it is.

Lowered my 2017 with 2016 blocks when new, 28000 miles and have had zero issues. I have heard of a few more issues leveling the front (camber/death wobble) vs lowering the rear (drive line vibration "rare"). But in the scope of thousands being on this board with minimal issues "both raising the front and lowering the rear" have very minor issues. Just make sure it is done right.

I think it's sacrelidge to lower a 4wd vehicle but if lowering the rear will get it in the garage that's what I'd do. Also, even after lowering the rear the truck will still be around the height (or slightly taller) of the pre '17 trucks so it would still look good.

Having the rear higher than the front is a good thing, if it was the same height it would sit nose high when you put a load in it.
