Can you use a PCO with the x-plan
Ordered a F350 CC Lariat 6.7 using the x-plan
Now I have a $2000.00 PCO but I'm getting told its up to the dealer if they will let me use the PCO with the x-plan.
Does this sound right ?
"Yes you should be able to use both"...as well as any Ford rebates. The only PCOs that the dealer has input on are the ones that they have to ante up a share of. If your PCO comes through Ford, it will be accessible to your salesman in Vincent, showing all limitations or restrictions. For example: some Ford discounts require financing through Ford Credit or are not honored with A,D,X, or Z plans.

it doesn’t cost the dealer anything to use your PCO. And YES, it can be used with X-plan, I did!
Yep confirmed here as well. Combined X plan, $2,500 PCO, Ford $1,000 customer cash, and an additional $500 Xplan exclusive rebate they had for a total of $4,000 rebates on top of my X plan price when I picked up my 2020 Dec. 23rd. Put me just under $10k off sticker on my order. X plan can be combined with all public rebates, but not private. Any rebate that anyone can use can combine with X plan, such as customer cash. However if it's "private" like farm bureau they do not stack.
X-plan is not really all that great of an offer. The average person can buy below X-plan price all day, every day. X-plan is just a "feel good" term to make you think you're getting something special. Like 16_superduty said, find a dealer that will sell to you at or below invoice. When I bought my '17, the dealer laughed at X-plan, then beat it by a mile. I bought below invoice, minus PCO & rebates.
Use what you know your X-plan prices will be on a vehicle (from the online X-Plan configurator) and use it as your starting place to negotiate better. You can generally beat that X-price by a pretty good amount.
I would "assume" your PCO expires on 3/31 and would not be valid if your arrives after that. Under no certain terms my dealer said there is NO such thing as a PCO lock!!! Others on this Forum said there dealers did lock in the PCO.....my advice to you is that if your truck is arriving after your PCO expires then get it in writing that your dealer will honor your PCO......my 2 cents.....
X plan is a great offer. Many places do not sell below invoice, it depends on where you are located. What many people forget about X plan is it caps all dealer fees. Without X plan you can negotiate for an hour for a few hundred bucks below invoice and then get screwed right back out of it with the fees. For me personally I like the ease of going in, stating you have X plan (which is a fair price for everyone involved), having to do 0 back and forth, and keeping my dignity and not haggling over a few hundred bucks for an hour just to end up back at square one after fees.
Also, you can absolutely 100% lock in a PCO. My PCO expired 9/30 and my truck was picked up 12/23 and they applied it no questions asked. I do agree with 1970 Boss to get it in writing so they don't try to BS you when you pick up your truck.
I had both X Plan and Costco pricing when I bought mine last month. Costco was better by $250. It was actually $500 better but they can add their fees to it where the X Plan fees are capped. Fortunately my dealer fees were $249 which made the Costco deal better. I also had a $2500 pco and the $1k cash back so felt good about it.
