Was looking at a deal for a set of 18" rims from a 2005, F350 to put on my 2001 F250.
Luckily, I looked online a bit, and found out that these will NOT fit my 2001, bolt pattern is the same, but set back is different.... so you'd need a spacer.
Seems a lot of people don't like spacers..... what do FTE folks think ???
I myself won't run them because I don't want anything changing how the wheels fit to the axles. Seems to me upsetting the geometry of the suspension system over and above what the factory designed is asking for trouble.
Of course on another site for mini-RV's made from E-Series some use wheel spacers for the rear axles to increase the track width---sometimes as much as 2" per side. Those who've used the best quality don't seem to have problems with longevity so maybe that's the key to it all?
