1956 Cab Mounts

Installing front cab mounts on a 1956 F100. I installed the rear cab mounts just fine with the new cast iron type arms with larger bushings and also the triangular shaped rubber bumpers. But there is confusion on how the front mounts are installed. Dennis Carpenter has this diagram below and that is the only way they will fit. But, Mid Fifty's catalog shows the smaller rubber donut pad on the bottom of the frame wing. Which seems reasonable but will not fit like that. I installed them according to the diagram below because they fit perfectly that way. Now the cab is squared up on the frame and the hood is fitting better. But, my question is this: is there a rubber pad that goes below the frame wing or is it simple a flat washer and nut?

The small rubber piece goes below the cab support wing.

Here is the issue I found installing the small rubber pad below the cab support wing. The hole in the wing on the drivers side is 9/16" diameter. The slot in the wing on the passenger side is 9/16" wide by about 1" long. These wings are original and in very good condition. The shoulder on the small rubber pad that is supposed to fit into the hole and slot in the wings is 3/4" diameter. The 3/4" O.D. shoulder on the small rubber pad will never fit into the 9/16" hole and 9/16" wide slot in the wings like the diagram EffieTrucker has found. That is the same diagram as in the Mid-Fifty catalog. But it just won't fit that way. Since I purchased the mounts from Mid-Fifty, I called them but got no answers. I guess they don't know either.

They fit just fine according to the Dennis Carpenter's diagram. There were no pads below the wings before. But it just seems like there should be. I'm starting to wonder if what the aftermarket is selling is just not close enough to the original to fit? Is it a different pad that is not sold that goes below the wings? Do I possible have a late 1956 production model F100 and Ford changed something?

All ideas are appreciated.
