I agree with fishin1976 I think they all have the same bolt pattern so it would mate to any converter. Just make sure you compare it to the flexplate you actually installed on the tranny and motor that way you know it is dimensionally the same. I would say all flexplates for a general engine family are probably the same because if ford doesn't have to make up a new design they aren't gonna. Let us know hope this work for you, later

You should be good to go with the Explorer flywheel.(sorry guys I've always called them "flywheels" and I'm going to stick with it.)The explorer has a 4r70w trans which is just a electronic AOD.As every one says double check it when you get yours out.

Not to confuss things but on my c-6 to aod swap the felxplates looked almost identicle (28oz) until I checked the backspacing. The c-6 would not let the pilot bushing of the torque convetor come through far enoug so I would have bound everything up when installed. Just something to think about. I have a 50Oz aod flexplate I'll never use if anyone is intersted
