So I have the dreaded coolant leak in my 2012 f150 5.0. Ordered the new o rings and tried to install them. Can't for the life of me get the connection to go all the way on to the plastic 3way piece. The clip wont catch as it is not all the way together.
How hard should it be to get that together with a new o ring? Thinking they may have sent the wrong o ring.

Looked up the PN and the o rings are correct. The trouble I have is when I put the new O ring in I can't get the connector back together. Put the old back and clicks right into place.
Actually used a new o ring from the dealer and a little silicone lube. Went right together. Was the right P/N but wrong o-ring. Been a week and working well so far.
Thanks
Bill

Have not had the leak yet with my 2013 5.0 but recognize how it will probably happen. Ordered a new Motorcraft upper hose complete with the fittings in place for about $50. I have it when I need it and those radiator hoses need to be replaced at some point anyway. Just a suggestion.
