adding cruise?
going through the "build and price" for some trucks I am considering, and noticed a stripped F150 can't get cruise control unless you add a rather pricy convenience package. can you just swap steering wheels to add it onto a basic truck?

There would be more involved than that I am quite sure. Everything goes through the computer on these new trucks. Wires may or may not be there in the harness. Of course it has been a really long time since I have turned a wench on one. I quit twisting wrenches in 1999. As I was tired of having to buy more new or specialized every year to keep up, not even considering I was going to have to buy yet another larger tool box. I did my own oil changes and light maintenance for several years after that. Now I just take it too the dealer.

Yes these days it truly is that simple, good news is the base steering wheel with cruise is super cheap on Ebay. A few programming changes in forscan and you are good to go!
