No. 2 cylinder contribution code

I guess it's my turn with fuel injectors.
I was riding home from work today and truck just started missing real bad. So I got of the next exit and limped to a Speedway gas station and pulled in
I ran code scanner on Torque Pro and Forscan. Came up with no.2 contribution. It is colder than h--- here in N Florida. Not used to it I'm a Virgin islands/Florida boy. So I haven't dug in to it yet.

My question is where to start. I guess I'll start with checking electrical, like injector plug and harness for chaffing or damage. Don't think I'll get that lucky. I checked and rewraped both injector harnesses when I did my Hpop a few months ago.
all my readings are good 48v m Ficm . Batteries 13.9 wile running down rd. Injector pulse width some where in 1400,s area while running 60 65 mph, hpop good.
just would like to hear where you gentleman would start your diagnosis.
I'll probably get on it Thursday after work. It will worm up enough to get out there and tear into it.
Thanks guys.

Well this is what the injector looks like. I change the oil and fuel filters and put 2 quarts of hot shot in it yesterday and ran it. The missing cleared up a good bit but not all. Then today when I got in the truck to run it. it started missing again, ran Diagnostics and it said contribution balance test number two again. Got to stop sign it died on me, crank no start. I said **** it started to remov injector going to Ford dealership to buy injector for $230 WOW

They are about $180 at White Bear Lake but you have to wait for it to ship.

It's in and truck back together. I will prime it up tomorrow with the battery chargers on it. Fill my antifreeze backup to correct level. I'm out of daylight right now, but it's all back together except for the antifreeze and priming it and getting it started. I'll work on that in the morning.

What's y'alls opinion on the rest of my injectors following suit.
Do they all ways go out together per say? Or could my others still have some life in them?

What caused it? Low fuel pressure or just worn out?

Not sure. Fuel preasure test I did after I put new hpop in said around 65. You saw the pic of the injector, that's at 110000 miles. The tip looked cooked but im not an injector guy so not really sure.

Tomorrow will tell the tale, when I prime the system and try to get her started to see what she does. Scan for codes.

The tip is the nozzle, it’s in the combustion chamber so cooked is normal. You shouldn’t see any soot past the copper washer. Could just be a bad solenoid or internals like the one of the intensifier pistons or check ball etc.

Well went out and checked fuel pump fuse it was good. No relay after looking at panel. It's internal from what hear.
But I am not getting any fuel in bowl. Any other things I can check or should I assume it's the pump.

Does the pump run when you turn the key forward but not crank it?

How much fuel is in your tank? You need to keep cycling the key until the fuel shows up. The pump will only run for like 8 seconds then shuts off, this is normal. It sounds like you have air in the fuel lines. After working on my truck I hot wire my fuel pump so it runs non stop until my fuel pressure comes back. If you have less than 1/4 tank of fuel and are having fuel issues you may have the broken fuel pickup foot or the pump is getting weak and can’t pull the fuel up from the bottom of the tank and it lost prime. Another member had this same issue and he just added diesel to the tank and it primed right up!
