You could have a bad fuel pump or it’s going bad and while you were driving fuel pressure dropped and took out the injector...that is why a permanent fuel pressure gauge is always something we bring up when troubleshooting these trucks. A $100 gauge and sensor could save 8 injectors.
Pump turns off after 8 secs or so when I turn key.
That is normal, that’s why I mentioned either cycling the key over and over until you build fuel pressure or get some to come into the bowl or use IDS to run it or there is a way to hot wire it somewhere under the passenger side floorboard kick panel. I’m sure one of these guys knows a way.
Fuel pump was bad. Tried priming it several times with no luck. Went to Napa and bought whole pump for 238.00 with tax. Come home and opened up and the thing had 2 plugs instead of 3, I was trippin. Toomany toys filled me in on the fuel heater being discontinued and that there was new harness. Installed the above. The I cycled pump 3 times had fuel in bowl. Charged batteries to full and it started up after about 5 seconds of cranking. $450 dollar project. Yahh
