Decent piece, but I'm still trying to figure out how Goodyear made the Duratracs "surprisingly quite at speed."

If you listen you can hear the tires. Compared to the tires on my 2018 with F4X package I would say they are a little louder. At this point I don't even notice them any more.

 

opinions on “quiet” will vary greatly

 

I'm on my second set of Druatrac tires on my other vehicle, they are the quietest when new and become louder as they wear. But they are some of the best tires I've owned. I got 60,000 miles out of my first set, not bad for aggressive tires.

 

They become quite loud as they wear.... I have a nice set with around 50% tread sitting in my warehouse.

 

Actually, I was just pointing out a misspelling in the story...that's at least one of two (I was a journalism grad and reporter, so I tend to notice such things)!

Still, good to know about the Duras, as I was considering a set when my OEM Wranglers wear out.
