I have a 2016 platinum that has 360 cameras. The cameras are taking and storing images that appear on screen when placed in reverse. For example Instead of seeing what is behind me when in reverse I will have a totally different image on screen of a places I had been before.(intermittently) This weirds me out as to my knowledge it unlikely that monitoring cameras can become a storage devise accidentally. At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist one of my thoughts is Ford is involved in something less than ethical. I know this sounds a little nuts, luckily I took videos of this while it happens on my phone. This seems like an invasion of privacy. Has anyone had this happen to them or have any explanations how this is possible?
cant help you with why its displaying the wrong info. but, in the event of you hitting something those cameras take pics and the insurance company or dealer can get the data off them.
Thanks, Seems that Ford is legally required to advise you that photographic images are being taken and stored. I could understand for an accident but to take pictures of my private property in the middle of the woods. Creepy!! Thanks for info.

Show us what you’re talking about.
No need to jump to conclusions that Ford is doing something without proof.
Sounds like a case for Mulder and Scully to handle.Lol
If you read how the 360 camera systems work, it says the various cameras merge their images with each other to create the single image it then displays on your screen
Wonder if, before merging the images, it saves them somewhere in the system temporarily until the next image overrides it.
are any of the old images you see really old (like two weeks or something)?
