I watched a video on youtube last night of a guy repairing a completed trashed dashpad by gluing/tacking cloth to it and glassing over it. Used bedliner to texture and then painted the original color, looked great when he got done. He's the first I've seen do that. His dash pad has Rectangular louvered vents on the top corners, some kind of plastic insert. Think these patch panels would look great "set-in" like that if a feller was willing to put in the time and itchiness to glass over one.
